Dancers' Village Events

Below, you will find a list of the events we organize in accordance with our association's mission; a PDF overview for the german part in 2026 and 2027 is also available here. Our activities include quarterly jams—held in summer, autumn, winter, and spring—as well as other CI (Contact Improvisation) jams, "CI Residencies," "Nature Journeys," and family gatherings. Currently, most of our events take place in the Black Forest at the Naturfreundehaus Sommerecke —a venue we have held under a long-term lease since July 2024—though we will also be hosting more events again in Portugal (at Vale Bacias), as well as in Austria and various regions of Germany. Mission Statement for Our Jams

We developed the accompanying mission statement for our jams in the autumn of 2020 (in german). We explored the question of what we wanted to make unique about the jams hosted by the Tänzerdorf Initiative—what truly defines us. This mission statement remains 100% relevant to this day; it embodies what we aspire to, what we value, and what we live by.
