Become a member of the "Initiative Tänzerdorf e.V.”

We distinguish between the following types of association membership:

  • Short-term Member – Guest (or: Passive Member)
  • Sponsor (or: Sponsoring Membership)
  • Voting Member (or: Active or Full Member)
    And—new as of July 1, 2024—also two projects with their own specific project memberships:
  • Supporter Sommerecke (DE)
  • Supporter Vale Bacias (PT) 

Your membership

Below, you will find all the detailed information you need to determine which membership is right for you.
We invite you to become a sponsor of our project. If you are certain that you wish to play an active role in shaping the project, a voting ('active') membership is the right choice. If you would prefer to attend a jam session first to get to know us, you are welcome to join as a 'Short-term Member – Guest.'

Short-term Member – Guest; or Passive Membership

The "passive" membership—designated as "Short-term Member – Guest"—is open to everyone: that is, all individuals and dancers who wish to get to know us and attend one of our jams. This passive membership provides insurance coverage to the member and grants access to our events. The passive membership entails a one-time fee of €10 and expires automatically on the following June 30th, which marks the end of our association's fiscal year.
Children are eligible only for this specific type of membership.

Sponsor membership

Sponsor membership is for dancers and other people who like the Dancers’ Village concept so much that they would like to support it a little. Legal entities such as associations, civil law partnerships (GbR), etc. can only become sponsor members.
Sponsor membership costs €100 per year and does not end automatically; it can be cancelled by giving notice by 30 June each year.
Sponsor members are invited to the general meeting but do not have voting rights.

Voting ('Active') Membership

Active membership is intended for individuals and dancers who attend one of our jams multiple times a year, and/or who appreciate our concept enough to wish to get involved—even if only in a small way—for instance, by contributing music, leading a workshop, or assisting with preparations at our jams. Active members hold voting rights at the General Meeting—which we always convene during our Summer Jam—and thus play a direct role in shaping the future and projects of the association.
Active membership does not terminate automatically; typically, it ends via formal notice of termination—which may be submitted annually effective June 30th—or, in very rare instances, through expulsion or death.
The annual membership fee of just €50 is collected via the SEPA direct debit system, which represents the most secure and straightforward method for all parties involved. Active members receive a €30 discount at every jam they attend.
Minors and legal entities are not eligible to hold active membership.

Supporter: Sommerecke or Vale Bacias

A Supporter Membership in one of our two projects costs an additional €200 per year and provides vital support for our initiatives.
Supporters receive a €70 discount on every event within their chosen project and are entitled to stay at the project site for more than four weeks per year—even outside of scheduled events—for instance, for extended retreats.
